JACOB SKEWES
Managing Director
Jacob Skewes started his career with DAC Enterprises following the completion of his secondary education in Darwin, Northern Territory. Jacob spent a total of five years progressing through the ranks from a laborer to leading land and supervisor. Jacob joined the family business in 2008 initially building concrete culverts and flood ways within a small dedicated team. At Charles Darwin University Jacob completed a Certificate 4 in Civil Construction and a Certificate 4 in Workplace Health and Safety. Jacob jumped at every opportunity and took on additional responsibility in this role which included the management and quoting of all Aldebaran Contracting construction projects. Jacob moved to the CEO position in 2017 and grew the business from a single entity to the four successful companies it is today; Aldebaran Contracting, Darwin River Quarries, Taylor Road Quarries, and Indigenous Business Enterprises Contracting.
Jacob is an active board member of the Northern Territory Civil Construction Federation which is the representative body of the civil engineering contractors in Australia

Alinta is an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor with a demonstrated history working in the mining and metals industry. Skilled in environmental awareness, safety management systems, water resources management, water conservation, compliance and reporting. Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) focused in environmental science from Queensland University of Technology
